At WestMar Hydraulics we place particular emphasis on protecting the privacy and security of the personal data of our clients, business partners, job candidates and people who contact us.

We process personal data in accordance with applicable law, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, i.e. the GDPR.

What data do we process?

Depending on how you contact us or the type of cooperation, we may process, among others:

first and last name,

information contained in a message or inquiry sent,
data concerning orders, services or contracts performed,
data contained in application documents in the case of recruitment,
technical data related to the use of the website, including the IP address.

We process only the data necessary to achieve specific purposes.

The legal basis may be Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – taking action at the request of the data subject prior to concluding a contract – or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, i.e. the Controller's legitimate interest in conducting communication and handling inquiries.

Order fulfillment and cooperation

Data of clients and business partners may be processed to:

fulfill orders,
provide services,
conclude and perform contracts,
provide service support,
carry out deliveries,
carry out settlements,
issue accounting documents,
handle complaints,
pursue or defend against claims.

The legal basis for processing is, respectively, Article 6(1)(b), (c) or (f) GDPR.

Marketing

Data may be used for marketing purposes and to send commercial information, provided there is an appropriate legal basis and – where required – the appropriate consent has been given.

Consent given may be withdrawn at any time.

Recruitment

If you send us your CV or other application documents, your data may be processed to carry out the recruitment process.

Data required by labor law provisions is processed on the basis of applicable regulations, while additional information provided voluntarily may be processed on the basis of consent.

If you give additional consent to participate in future recruitment processes, we may also retain your data for the purposes of subsequent recruitment processes.

Website security

Certain technical data, such as the IP address, information about the device, browser or connection time, may be processed to:

ensure the proper functioning of the website,
ensure the security of IT systems,

protect against spam and abuse.

The legal basis is the Controller's legitimate interest.

To whom may we transfer data?

In connection with the processing of personal data, you may have the right to:

access your data and receive a copy of it,
rectify your data, if it is incorrect or outdated,
erase your data, if the conditions provided for by law are met,
restrict the processing of data,
data portability in cases provided for by the GDPR,
object to the processing of data based on a legitimate interest,
withdraw consent at any time, if the data is processed on its basis.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.

Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that your personal data is being processed in violation of applicable regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

Is providing data mandatory?

Providing data is generally voluntary.

In some cases, however, it may be necessary to:

respond to an inquiry,
prepare an offer,
conclude or perform a contract,
fulfill an order or service,
carry out the recruitment process.

Failure to provide the necessary data may prevent the given action from being carried out.

Automated decision-making

Data submitted directly to WestMar Hydraulics in connection with an inquiry, order fulfillment or contact is not used to make decisions concerning the user that would produce legal effects and that are based solely on automated processing.

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures aimed at protecting personal data against:
